P. Hutchison “Hutch” Brock, II, is the owner and managing member of Brock Law. After starting his career with a large law firm in Tampa that was committed to litigating for and defending insurers, in 1994 he joined his friends in Dade City to grow a full service law practice. He led the litigation group for 18 years, shifted his focus to representing a select few businesses and the injured on claims, and over that term he also served as a City Commissioner and Mayor of Dade City. In 2012 Hutch and his team opted to expand his practice to the thriving area of Wesley Chapel, and now is centrally located between the three courthouses they routinely frequent: the East Pasco County Courthouse in Dade City, the West Pasco County Courthouse in New Port Richey and the Hillsborough County Courthouse in Tampa.
With his primary practice focus as a trial lawyer, handling personal injury and other related claims, his clients still include local and regional businesses who desire his tactical and trial skills to navigate disputes. Hutch has more than two decades of trial and legal experience. From complex civil and business issues to all manner of claims involving personal injury, including auto and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, slip and falls, premises liability, and employment disputes, he has served as lead counsel on cases from Tallahassee to Miami-Dade County, as well as in his home town of Dade City and all counties in the Tampa Bay area and Central Florida.
Hutch is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator for Circuit Civil Lawsuits, and is also Board Certified by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law. Among one of his greatest achievements is gaining the recognition of the top national publication in the field of law, the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Rated Review. Based on peer review recommendations of fellow attorneys and judges, Mr. Brock was granted the esteemed “AV” rating. This is the premier distinction a lawyer can receive and it is based on ability and ethics in the practice of law. Only a select group of attorneys ever reach this milestone. Mr. Brock is also recognized as one of Tampa’s Top Rated Lawyers, is a Super Lawyer as rated by Super Lawyer magazine, and is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Hutch Brock was born in Dade City, Florida. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law, he has practiced law in Central Florida and the surrounding areas since 1990.
When he isn’t litigating Hutch spends his free time with his family. The father of four, he and his wife are ardent supporters of local and high school sports. He also enjoys fishing the Homosassa River and Boca Grande pass and golf. He is a member of the Wesley Chapel Rotary Club, the Wesley Chapel and Dade City Chambers of Commerce, and is active in the local, state and national trial bar associations. Recently, in the year long effort to renew the Penny for Pasco tax he served as Co-Chair of the Committee, and was instrumental in successfully navigating the reorganization of the committte through to the adoption of that much needed funding source. He also serves on the Board of the Lacoochee Area Redevelopment Corporation, is an ardent supporter of the Lacoochee Boys and Girls Club and the East and Central Pasco Habitat for Humanity, and serves as local counsel to the Pasco County Fair Association and Sunrise of Pasco County, a full service domestic violence and sexual assault center.
Hutch is a proud graduate of the University of Florida, is a Bull Gator member of Gator Boosters, a Life Member of the University of Florida Alumni Association, and a lifelong football season ticket holder.
